I’ve probably clocked almost years worth of time in kiddie pools between splashing around in them as a kid to babysitting and then having kids later on in life. But I’ve decided this summer that just a normal old kiddie pool wouldn’t be good enough. Instead, I’m trying to set up the ultimate little kiddie pool area.

I found this really big beach umbrella in our garage and figured out how to rig it up so that it creates shade over the pool. I think that it’s going to be so great. Once I get a good book and ease back into my lawn chair with my feet sticking in the kiddie pool’s water to keep cooled off. But I think that my daughter will also really like this setup once we have a nice day instead of rain and I can figure it out.
